Function

As Operations Director you have the responsibility to provide leadership and focus to the European Operations and help deliver the overall strategic goals. You’ll ensure day to day management and monitoring of the operations & processes with a clear focus on production, supply chain and maintenance. Your key priorities are to design the ideal manufacturing footprint, drive discipline and efficiency, strive for superior quality, implement HSE initiatives, propose structural improvements, monitor investments, participate to the annual budget processes, organize departmental reviews and focus on people & organization for growth.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Full responsibility of the operations budget and KPI’s.
  • The design and implementation of plans for the effective use of material, new technologies, automation, processes and labor resources in order to leverage and optimize the manufacturing output.
  • You manage the hiring, developing and training off all operations related employees together with his/her direct reports to ensure a lean and competent workforce.
  • You manage the planning, procurement, product storage, handling and distribution together with the team leads.
  • You collaborate with R&D, Marketing and Sales to develop strategies aimed at delivering the products in the most efficient way to the customer.
  • You promote cross functional cooperation.
Skills and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10 years progressive experience in Manufacturing Operations, Supply chain, Organization & People Management.
  • Master’s degree in Engineering is preferred.
  • You’ve shown success in organizational capacity building and managing relations with internal & external customers.
  • You’re a customer-focused, hands-on leader with experience in building and sustaining strong pier level relationships with key suppliers as well as coaching the organization internally to drive performance.
  • Strong project management skills managing complex, multi-faceted projects and successfully operationalizing innovative programs resulting in measurable successes and growth.
  • Entrepreneurial & Result driven: setting priorities, creating a short and long term operational plan and focusing on high-quality execution.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, organizational and cross-cultural skills.
  • Fluency in Dutch and English.
