Product Manager EMEA – Industrial environment

Bachelor or Master degree / International environment: mostly short trips between Mondays and Fridays. / Challenging working environment

Function

The Product Manager will take responsibility for the entire value chain of Crosby’s product portfolio and service offering, with a focus on developing products in conjunction with the USA based HQ product management / engineering team.

The role will involve a high degree of client interface to validate client insight, build the business case, manage and drive development priorities, driving through all additional deliverables and working with the all company stakeholders to ensure a successful launch.

This role has a high commercial focus and the Product Manager will identify how product innovations will add value to both Crosby and their customers. As a champion of both product and services the Product Manager will work closely together with the EMEA sales, market/end-user development & marketing teams.

Some specific job tasks:

  • Overseeing the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities in good collaboration with Crosby HQ product management and Engineering team;
  • Specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers;
    Developing and implementing a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute;
  • Determines customers’ needs and desires by specifying the way-to-go needed to obtain market information;
  • Assesses market competition by comparing Crosby’s products to competitors’ products;
  • Provides technical data for product line communications to define product marketing communication objectives;
  • Obtains product market share to develop product sales strategies;
  • Provides information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts and special reports and analyses; answering questions and requests;
  • Facilitates inventory turnover and product availability by reviewing and adjusting inventory levels and production schedules;
  • Support new products to market by analyzing proposed product requirements and product development programs; preparing return-on-investment analyses;
    Introduce and commercialize new products by developing time-integrated plans with sales, Marketing communications, and production;
  • Determines product pricing in collaboration with our business analyst by utilizing market research data; reviewing production and sales costs; anticipating volumes to forecasting.
Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master Degree or equivalent by experience, e.g in mechanics, electro mechanics, lifting, materials engineering etc;
  • Good product and people management skills;
  • Analysis, pricing, planning, competitive analysis, sales planning, planning and inventory control;
  • +5 years of experience, in a technical or industrial market/business environment;
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, knowledge of another language is a plus;
  • Customer-oriented and communicative;
  • Innovative, improvement- and result-oriented;
  • Analytical, flexible, autonomous and dynamic team player;
  • Willingness to travel (25%). Mostly short trips between mondays and fridays. You can define the travelling schedule yourself.
