System and Network Administrator – focus on Security

Security and integral control are indispensable for a company with the reputation of IGC Group. Data- and network security occupy an important place in your function. You provide ICT support to the employees of IGC in Antwerp and you support (remotely) the offices in New York, Chicago and Hong Kong. You also collaborate with system engineers in the factories in Thailand, Laos and Botswana. Finally, you monitor the building management system and the (physical) security systems.

More specifically, your duties as System and Network Administrator include the following:

• You are responsible for the operational management of the company network using Active Directory.
• You ensure that the firewall, switches, routers… function optimally.
• You manage the systems for data security (encryption, recovery…).
• You support internal employees with all kinds of ICT problems (Windows, MS Office, network, wifi, firewall, telephony…). You pass on more complex problems to application or server specialists.
• You install, maintain and replace hardware on about 50 workstations and 30 printers. You are responsible for the installation and modification of certain software and end-user applications.
• Through the building management system you monitor (remotely) the status of systems such as electricity, air conditioning, heating, elevators and technical security equipment such as access control, camera surveillance and intrusion protection.
• You are in contact with suppliers, especially for purchases/stock management, follow-up of maintenance contracts…

• Level: bachelor’s degree in applied computer science, ideally inclined to infrastructure, cyber security, cloud… or equivalent through experience.
• Experience in one or more of the following areas is an added value:
  – Windows Server, Active Directory, SQL, Azure
  – Server – Desktop – Laptop Hardware
  – Windows 10-11 & Office 365
  – Veeam Backup
  – Fortigate firewalls – Trend Micro
  – Juniper networking
  – PDQ update management
• You are able to set priorities and to plan your various subtasks independently.
• You have good communication skills and you report accurately.
• You have a very good command of the English language, both spoken and written.
