Team Lead Product Engineering (Hardware)

You manage the Product/Application Engineering team consisting of broadly interested engineers. You and your team deliver feasible products/solutions in response to – often original and complex – customer demands.

Your responsibilities include the following areas:

• Aligning with – renowned international – customers and sales/business development on desired products/applications, whilst finding the balance between customer demand, challenge and feasibility.
• Managing stakeholders’ expectations throughout the engineering process.
• Meeting deadlines for application delivery.
• Identifying and developing applications pro-actively to support sales/business development.
• Interaction with R&D to identify useful technology developments.
• Interaction with Quality Assurance regarding measurement techniques and quality matters.

• Master’s degree in Industrial Product Design or Product Development or Master’s degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering.
• Extensive experience in project, product and/or application engineering and proven success in customer oriented roles.
• Team management experience.
• Very good communication skills.
• Broad technology interest (including optics, high-end electronics, software, chemistry, product design…).
• Creativity and proven ability to work towards practical solutions when facing complex technical problems.
• Excellent command of the English language.
